Monique Lycette herself has epilepsy.  Writing children’s books is something that she has enjoyed doing since she was a child.  She enjoys writing about issues that can help others.  That is why she chose to write “Abigail Has Epilepsy.”  She also has her master’s degree in education, special education-learning disabilities. She is not only a children’s book author she is also a substitute teacher and a member of The Screen Actors Guild and The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.  She occasionally works as an actress for these unions.
